After watching
White Christmas for the first time in a very long time, it reminded me of how it was practically a ritual for my mother to gather the family into the living room to watch classic 50's films. They were always very extravagant and fun to watch, but there was one element in particular that always has-and still does-intrigue me: the costumes! Here are some of my favorites...
Eva-Marie Saint- North by Northwest
Grace Kelly- Rear Window
Leslie Caron- An American in Paris
Rosemary Clooney & Vera Miles- White Christmas
Rita Hayworth-
Gilda

Grace Kelly-
High Society
Audrey Hepburn-
Roman Holiday

Audrey Hepburn-
Funny Face (don't you just adore her?!)
Does this inspire you to wear gloves and a petticoat under your dress? I think I'll have to try my own version of the look!
