The Table

Sorry I've been gone for so long! I'd had a busy summer. Now that I'm back into the fall routine, I promise I'm post more often! Here's my latest one...
My mother treats table-setting as an art, so I decided show off two of her latest displays:

 Hydrangea mania

 Scandinavian Milkmaids

Do you go all-out when it comes to table decorating?

Wandering in the Woods

Last week I went camping with my family for the first time in about a year! We went to Hunnington Lake- quite close to Yosemite (in Northern California). I had so much fun snaping shots of the wildlife, that I just had to share them. They're not exactly National Geographic worthy, but hey- I tried my best...

A babbling brook that ran by our campsight.

A snowflower- they're supposed to bloom when the first snow falls, but I don't know why this one is blooming in July

Tigerlillies- I had no clue they grew wild in California

You can't tell in the photo, but the moss was literally neon green

The next few photos were taken by my cousin Amy- a more experienced photographer!

An island in the middle of the lake- I kyaked to it.

We saw dozens of red dragonflys and blue dragonflys by the lake.

I caught a trout with my bare hands!

A cute little chipmunk family kept trying to steal our food

I also saw a black-tailed deer (a doe), hawks, robbins, Steller's jays, and dozens of sqirrels. I'll try to get photos of them next time!

My Room

I'm back! I always thought that a person's bedroom says so much about them and reveals their personality a bit, so here's mine. What do you think it says about my personality?

My dress mannequin and a wall full of my relatives (mostly great-grandparents).

My battered old pointe shoes (which I love to display, despite the fact they are so tattered and old).

Favorite books and a picnic basket, which does such an awesome job of hiding my endless amount of papers.

Although I am against harming animals, this elephant foot sat in my grandparent's attic for decades, so it now lives under my bed-side table.
I put the fringe and feather onto the lamp myself, and my grandma gave me the perfume bottles.

My big sister made this beautiful mask.

One of my many collections-vintage gloves.

What does your room look like? And what do you think it says about you?

Waaaiting at the Wedding

Now we all know that weddings can be pretty fun. You get good food, happy people, and (usually) a fun night of dancing. However, we also know that weddings can consist of ALOT of waiting around until they actually start the thing! So when my family and I went to a family friend's wedding, and when the waiting period began, my sisters and I decided it was time to get out of there and do something fun: photo-shoot.

"A raisin is really just a humiliated grape."

Just saw Benny and June- an adorable film!
P.S.- it was really fun to watch JD impersonate Buster Keaton/Charlie Chaplin/Harold Lloyd all in one movie.

Princess Diana

Sorry that I haven't posted in so long! I've been so busy! But through my hectic schedule I did manage to unearth a great coffee-table book amongst the many books on my grandma's book shelf- one about princess Diana. It had such awesome photos of her, I had to share some.

This makes me want to do pointe on a garden wall.
